Welcome to 'It's a Guide Dog's Life'!
Before letting Webster loose, in these days of political correctness and the sueing culture, I must make it clear from the outset that this blog is not endorsed by the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, and that any views expressed are purely those of, well, Webster of course.
The aim is to provide readers with a little insight into the life of one particular guide dog and his daily life and surrounded by his immediate circle of two-legged and (occasionally) four-legged friends. Humour, I hope, will highlight some of the ups and downs of Wester's being owned by a blind man and his wife living in rural Lancashire and trying to run a small ethical business producing organic soaps, skincare and aromatherapy soy candles. (OK, end of plug - if you want to read more about that, follow the Essentially Natural blog).
If you like what Webster writes, please tell your friends. If you have questions about Webster's life as a guide dog, please do ask. He is my fifth guide dog (and the most, let's say, interesting...
